X Factor hopeful Samantha Atkinson returns to audition after a disastrous bootcamp nightmare with Ryan Ruckledge in 2015.
The 32-year-old pub landlady suffered a career setback last year when she was unfortunately put in the same group as CBB Ruckledge.
Simon Cowell described the reality TV menace as a “horror” and the mother of two from Hull says the last time she appeared on the ITV talent show things were “difficult”.
Speaking about clashing with Ryan, she said: “I was at bootcamp last year and I was put in a difficult group.”Samantha is now hoping her rendition of Adele’s When We Were Young will help her swap pulling pints for pop superstardom.
As she performs the judges seem impressed, as do the audience.
“I reckon she’ll be good, do you?” says one listener.
“To tackle Adele, [is hard]” adds another.
Will she make it to bootcamp (or even beyond) in 2016?Meanwhile, on Friday morning ITV announced a new three-year deal for talent shows Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor, which is on its 13th series.
Cowell’s shows, which are two of the UK’s biggest television formats, will continue on Britain’s most watched commercial channel until at least 2019.
Simon said: “I want to thank ITV for continuing to be fantastic partners. I’m delighted for the shows and, in particular, for all the talented people who work on them with us.”
* The X Factor continues on Saturday, 16 September at 8pm on ITV where the final acts are chosen for bootcamp
